Designed for Comfort. Engineered for Protection.
Comfortable, Broad Protection in Fast-Drying Rainwear
Utility linemen need foul weather gear that protects them and enables them to work for longer periods without being distracted by discomfort in challenging conditions. Rainwear made with GORE-TEX PYRAD® fabric provides the best combination of broad protection, comfort, and durability for arc-flash rated, foul-weather protection.
Broad Protection That Meets or Exceeds ASTM F1891 Requirements
The fabric’s revolutionary self-extinguishing properties enable rainwear to maintain its physical integrity even after direct exposure to arc-flash or flame, and achieve an arc rating of HRC-3.
Proven Waterproof and Windproof Protection
Foul weather gear with GORE-TEX PYRAD® fabrics have been storm-shower tested and field proven to ensure that linemen stay dry, providing the exceptional waterproof, windproof, breathable performance available only from the inventors of GORE-TEX products.
Integrated Hi-Visibility Protection
Rainwear made with GORE-TEX PYRAD® fabric meets or exceeds ANSI 107-15 and CSA Z96-15 hi-visibility requirements to improve safety with respect to traffic and other hazards in many lighting conditions. It also reduces bulk by eliminating the need for a traffic vest.
Foul Weather Protection
The highly breathable construction of the GORE-TEX PYRAD® fabric helps decrease sweat buildup, keeping linemen cooler in warm conditions and warmer in cool conditions. This lightweight fabric dries to the touch quickly, reducing the uncomfortable cold, clammy feeling from reusing damp foul weather gear multiple times during a shift.
Having rainwear that withstands the harsh conditions in which you work depends on the quality of the fabrics’ construction and the manufacturing process of the gear. For more than 35 years, W. L. Gore & Associates has been a pioneer in developing high-performance fabrics for industrial, fire, EMS, military, law enforcement, and CBRN applications. At Gore, we work closely with our manufacturers during initial design, rigorous laboratory and field testing, and final product performance — all to ensure that the fabric in your rainwear does what we say it will do.
