Why Our Fabric?
Why GORE® CHEMPAK® Fabric?
Gloves made with GORE® CHEMPAK® ultra barrier fabric provide a high level of protection against a broad range of toxic industrial chemicals and chemical and biological warfare agents. Rubber gloves may swell when exposed to petroleum, oils, and lubricants, which can compromise protection and decrease tear-resistance. Test results showed that, unlike 14-mil butyl rubber products, gloves made with our fabrics did not swell when exposed to various petroleum-based products. This enhanced integrity offers you added confidence that you will remain protected during challenging CBRN missions.
The Gore Advantage
Having ChemBio gloves that withstand the conditions in which you work depends on the quality of the fabrics’ construction and the manufacturing process of the suit. For 35 years, W. L. Gore & Associates has been a pioneer in developing high-performance barrier fabrics for first responder and military applications. At Gore, we work closely with our licensed manufacturers from initial glove design through rigorous laboratory testing and final product performance — all to ensure that you can be confident your gloves do what we say it will do.
Warning: No products, including garments, footwear, and gloves, protect completely, even when new; their protective performance will decline with wear, tear, abrasion, and other damage associated with use.
