When responding to a call, you face an increased risk of exposure to blood and body fluids. It’s important, then, to make sure that your gloves protect you from these hazards. GORE® CROSSTECH® glove inserts protect you from water, blood, body fluids, and common chemicals for the life-cycle of the glove.

Faster drying time

Although you need to be protected from heat, you also need heat to be able to escape from your body. If this does not occur, you run the risk of heat stress and heat exhaustion. While breathability is not an NFPA requirement for gloves, it does allow gloves to dry out quickly, which can increase your comfort and reduce odor.

Maintain Performance Over Time

Your gloves take a lot of heat. It’s important that all components of gloves used in high-heat situations are able to withstand high temperatures. After exposure to 500°F, most competitive polyurethane barriers melt, crack, and stick to the liner and are no longer waterproof. However, gloves made with GORE® CROSSTECH® inserts exceed NFPA guidelines, remaining intact and fully waterproof at 500°F for at least five minutes.
