Chemical/Biological Protective Clothing System (CPCS) Respond and stay protected with a versatile CB undergarment

Lightweight Breathable Comfort

The breathable performance of GORE® CHEMPAK® selectively permeable fabric helps minimize thermal impact by allowing perspiration vapor (sweat) to escape. The stretch construction of the close-fitting undergarment provides additional comfort by eliminating the thermal insulating layer that surrounds your body. When compared to traditional carbon suits, the CPCS improved heat loss by more than 20 percent.

Versatile Design Allowing For Easy Integration

The undergarment’s stretch fabric and unique design maximize its range of motion and comfortable fit, enabling increased mobility and operational effectiveness in traditional and catastrophic environments. Its versatile design enables the undergarment to be easily integrated with other equipment in a variety of ensembles for CBRN response missions such as:

  • Technical search and rescue
  • Special operations
  • Tactical force protection operations
  • CBRN identification and detection
  • VIP security
  • Counter-terrorism at public events
  • Consequence management
  • EOD
  • Technical decontamination

Low-Profile Protection

The CPCS made with stretch GORE® CHEMPAK® selectively permeable fabric allows professionals to operate discretely, while maintaining a ready posture in the event of a terrorist incident. With this new technology, federal, state, and local professionals can wear a garment that protects them without alarming the public.

Certified Protection

The CPCS undergarment worn under a Nomex® flight suit meets the requirements of NFPA 1994, Class 3 Standard on Protective Ensembles for First Responders to CBRN Terrorism Incidents. This ensemble is ideal for operations that potentially include toxic industrial chemicals and chemical warfare agents below levels not immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) as identified in the NFPA standard.
