This standard specifies vapor-protective ensembles that protect emergency response personnel during hazardous material emergencies and CBRN terrorism incidents from specific chemicals in a vapor or liquid-splash environment. This standard also provides optional criteria for vapor-protective ensembles for escape protection only from chemical flash fires.
